Da kann man nur gespannt sein, wie sich das noch weiter entwickeln wird. Es könnte auf jeden Fall auf Dauer einiges im Internet einfacher machen, schließlich verliert man bei der Vielzahl an sozialen Netzwerken schnell einmal den Überblick. Daher hoffe ich, dass sich das gut weiter entwickelt und durchsetzt.

XMPP sehe ich als wirklich interessante Basis für ein Social Network – das „realtime web“ ist dort von Haus aus zu haben, die „federation“-Fähigkeit bekommt man quasi auch dazu – und das Protokoll ist unendlich erweiterbar…
