hMeaningless Microformat

hMeaningless is an easy to implement microformat indicating the lack of semantic markup. Adding class="meaningless" to any HTML element indicates that the element contains no semantic markup what-so-ever.

Well, I’m not the kind to kiss and tell
But I’ve been seen with Farrah
I’ve never been seen with anything than a nine
So fine…
…

by

Open Web

hCard Links

by
Matthias Pfefferle

15. Oktober 2007

Open Web

I would still make his name a hyperlink but what can I do about making this text into an hCard? Should I change my writing style and refer to everyone by their full formated name even if the context and writing style would favour just using their first name?

```
<span class="vcard">
  <a class="fn url" href="http://example.com/">
    Max
  </a>
</span>
Code-Sprache: HTML, XML (xml)
```
```
<span class="vcard">
  <a class="url" rel="friend met" href="http://example.com/">
    <abbr class="fn" title="Max Mustermann">
      Max
    </abbr>
  </a>
</span>
Code-Sprache: HTML, XML (xml)
```
